![]() #TVagainstWar: Seven arrested in Moscow over protests against war in Ukraine. Kiev bans Russian TV heads from entering the country
A total of seven people were arrested yesterday in Moscow over protests against Russia’s involvement in the war in Ukraine, OVD-Info reports. The protesters were temporarily detained for 15 hours based on ‘violations of the established order of organizing rallies’.
One of the protesters, Dmitry Monakhov, held a sign saying “Stop Putin = Stop War” near Moscow’s Red Square. He was arrested later that evening. Meanwhile, The National Council for TV and Radio Broadcasts in Ukraine has sent a list of Russian citizens to The Security Service of Ukraine that it suggests banning from entering the country. The chairman of this regulatory agency Yury Artemenko informed that the list consists of 49 journalists and top managers of Russian channels which fuel up the race hatred, promote violence and war. The head of the Service added that other sanctions against these people may follow, and a few additional names may appear on the list.
