Eccho Rights working in partnership with Somos Distribution has secured several broadcast deals in Latin America for Ezel, the best selling Turkish drama series from Ay Yapim. The latest countries to sign up for Ezel are Unitel in Bolivia, TV Accion in Paraguay, Latina TV in Peru and Caracol in Colombia. Eccho Rights has also recently closed licences in Brazil, Ecuador and further territories in Central America. This means that the series has now been sold to every country in Latin America.

Six months ago Ezel premiered on Megavision in Chile and was an instant hit with audiences. This success provided the springboard for further deals in the region. Telefe in Argentina and Monte Carlo TV in Uruguay soon picked up the series and the show is currently scoring excellent ratings for both channels.

Over the past 12 months Turkish drama has shaken up Latin America’s TV market. The region that created and exported the telenovela to the world is now being seduced by the top quality dramas coming out of Turkey. The partnership between Eccho Rights and Somos Distribution has been recognised as a pioneering force in bringing Turkish dramas to Latin America. Eccho Rights recently recruited Barbora Susterova from Imagina as sales and acquisition executive director for Latin America to build on this success.
