AMC makes changes to its CE programming department
 27 Jan 2016
AMC Networks International Central Europe announced that effective February 1 its non-sport programming department will be separated into two functional areas, with one being headed by Judit Minda, who has joined the company. She is heading the Kids & Infotainment’ unit, while Katalin Radóczy, who will continue to work as chief programming officer, will be responsible also for the new Film& Entertainment unit. Meanwhile, the operation of the Sport Programming department will remain unchanged.

Minda joins AMCNI CE after leaving Modern Times Group (MTG), where she was senior acquisitions manager for Viasat3 and Viasat6 in Hungary.

Levente B. Málnay, CEO of AMC Networks International – Central Europe, commented: “We are pursuing this reorganization with the objective to increase profitability on existing markets and to enter new territories. Our goal is to further expand both these programming divisions”

Nine out of AMCNI CE’s 13 brands will belong to the two new organizational units: Film&Entertainment comprises the film channels AMC, Filmcafe, Film Mania and Film+ (in the Czech Republic and Slovakia only), while the Kids& Infotainment unit manages the brands Spektrum, Spektrum Home, TV Paprika, Minimax and Megamax.
