All3Media International announced that it has secured two commissions in Europe for factual entertainment format World of Weird, wth broadcasters in Poland and Norway signing local versions.

Originally produced by Lion Television for the UK’s Channel 4, World of Weird, which is currently airing in the UK, has now been picked up for adaptation in Poland by Discovery and in Norway by NRK.

In each episode four presenters fly to different corners of the globe to look at strange and bizarre stories. In the new 7 x 1 hour UK version, presenters will spend time in India with the world’s biggest family of 160 members strong, work for a Japanese fake family rental agency and prepare for the end of the world with doomsday prepper groups in the USA.
