Following the huge success of the inaugural edition of the event in 2016, CEETV, the leading media platform for TV intelligence in CEE and part of TVBIZZ Group, and NATPE, the organizer of the most prominent TV market and conference in Central and Eastern Europe, announce the second edition of their format initiative PITCH & PLAY LIVE for NATPE Budapest 2017. The global TV market and conference will take place between June 19-22 in the Hungarian capital Budapest.

PITCH & PLAY LIVE's goal is to showcase and recognize original format ideas with international potential from the CEE region. Any non-scripted format ideas created after June 1, 2016 can take part in the competition. Out of all entries, up to ten titles will be selected and reviewed by an international committee of TV industry professionals who will pick three finalists. These top three formats will be presented live by their creators in a special session on June 20, as a key event of NATPE Budapest 2017, followed by a celebratory party. A jury of highly respected TV professionals will vote for one format winner of PITCH & PLAY LIVE which will be announced at NATPE Budapest.

Participation is free. The selected formats will receive one free registration for NATPE Budapest, June 19-22. In addition to media coverage by CEETV, TVBIZZ and NATPE, the winning format will be awarded a development meeting. The winning format will also receive two registrations and two hotel accommodations for NATPE Miami 2018.

Submissions must include a one-page description of the format in English, a short trailer with English subtitles and at least one episode with English subtitles.

The deadline for submissions is May 1 2017.
