NBCUniversal International Formats sells Wedlocked
in Germany and Serbia
NBCUniversal International Formats today confirms its wedding format, Wedlocked, is set for local versions in Germany and Serbia. Acting as the second and third international versions, the remakes will air in both territories later this year.
In each episode of Wedlocked, two families come together to plan their child’s wedding. Over the course of a week, the soon-to-be-wed couples have to watch as their loved ones organize their big day. RTL2’s broadcast pilot, locally known as Voll vertraut – Traumhochzeit mit Hindernissen, will be produced by Tresor TV. The Serbian Ko ti pravi svadbu?, which was already presented as part of PRVA’s fall season will be co-produced by PRVA and Adrenaline. Wedlocked was co-developed by NBCUniversal International Formats and MTG. The first local version aired in 2016 on TV3 Latvia. Ana Langenberg, NBCUniversal International Formats said: “Wedlocked was initially developed with MTG in response to the popularity of wedding and relationship-related formats in Latvia. We are delighted that the demand for this genre extends across other European territories and we’re looking forward to working with RTL2 and PRVA to adapt the format for the German and Serbian audiences.” RELATED
