Eccho Rights yesterday announced the first six international sales for the new Sürec Film series Cennet (Cennet’in Gözyaşları).

The Turkish Drama series that tells of a young woman’s struggle to reconnect with her biological mother after years of estrangement, has now been picked up in Bulgaria (bTV), Romania (Happy Channel), Lithuania and Latvia (SIA), Kosovo (Koha TV) and Georgia (Rustavi 2).

“Cennet is an emotional story that has really struck a chord with buyers. It displays all the hallmarks of a classic Turkish drama - an emotional family story, a beautiful romance and a brilliant cast,” says Handan Özkubat, Head of Eccho Rights’ Istanbul office.

Cennet has broadcast weekly on ATV Turkey since late September, performing strongly in a very competitive Sunday evening slot.
