1+1 Media presents SUDUM – a new project for copyright protection
Last week 1+1 Media officially presented SUDUM - a new project aiming to protect the copyright of video content owners on the Internet.
The technological and legal system SUDUM blocks illegal copies of video content on websites, social networks and video hosting sites. The process of tracking illegal content is automatic and done 24 round the clock. When pirated versions of content are found, the program automatically sends a complaint to the "pirate" (i.e. a provider, a website, a social network; etc). However, this process cannot go without human supervision and specialists from 1+1 Media will ensure that legal content is not accidentally blocked. Initially, SUDUM was developed by 1+1 Digital for its own use. The efficiency of the system is about 94%. Over the past two years, more than 200.000 illegal copies have been removed, and profits from increased traffic of sites of the Group increased by 40%. "Internet piracy is an urgent problem for rights holders and one of the main reasons why they do not receive a profit," says Anna Tkachenko, director of the digital unit of 1+ 1 Media. “Today, content producers are teaming up to solve this problem. It is important for us to be a company that not only fights against pirates, but also offers the market its solutions to combat them. We have a rich experience in protecting our content and we are ready to scale it to the businesses of other rights holders. " RELATED
