Global Agency picks up Pitch & Play LIVE winning format for international distribution #PitchPlay #MIPTV
In an exclusive interview for TVBIZZ Magazine, Izzet Pinto, CEO and Founder of Global Agency, revealed that his company will be distributing the format Sounds of the Nation which was born after several new elements were added to Pitch & Play LIVE winner The Land is Singing.
“Our Turkish production partner Ruyhan Durali (creator of Shopping Monsters, Lucky Room, etc.) added some new elements for this show, and it became a joint business with the Slovak producers, Ruyhan and us under the title Sounds of the Nation,” Pinto commented, noting that they discovered the format after it won the Pitch & Play LIVE 2017 edition. The full interview will come out in the TVBIZZ Magazine's MIPTV 2018 edition in Cannes. Meanwhile, the show finished its second season in Slovakia with top ratings. The finale had the highest share for the entire season but was lower than the finale of season 1. The show had 433.000 viewers and got 26% share. In the commercial demo, the project had 18.4% share. Last year the show had 583.000 viewers. The Land is Singing is produced by Nunez NFE for STV1. Pitch & Play LIVE is organized by CEETV and NATPE which aims to showcase and recognize original format ideas with international potential from the CEE and EMEA regions. The application deadline for the 2018 edition is open till May 21. Any non-scripted format from the region, created after June 1, 2017, is eligible to take part in the competition.
