Produced by Turkey’s acclaimed production company Ay Yapim and sold internationally by one of Turkey’s leading distributors Inter Medya, The Pit (Çukur) won Turkey’s Best Series award at a ceremony held in Istanbul last week. Perihan Savaş and Dilan Çiçek Deniz took home the Female Actress of the Year award, Erkan Kolçak Köstendil and Aras Bulut Iynemli both won the Male Actor of the Year award. Since its launch on Show TV, the series has increasingly been earning strong ratings and is set to continue for another season in the Fall.

Following its official international launch at MIPTV, Inter Medya also announced further sales to Northern Iraq, Afghanistan and Georgia. The series is also set to go on air in Chile.
