Stiletto Vendetta finds new broadcasters across Europe
Stiletto Vendetta has sold to a further three European territories this spring following deals struck by international distributor Eccho Rights.
In the Baltics the series has been picked up by LNK in Lithuania and Kanal 2 in Estonia, while a further license has been agreed with Antenna (Planet TV) in Slovenia. On the international market the Ay Yapim-produced series has already been sold to channels in Israel, Romania and Greece. In Turkey, the series continues its successful run as Star TV's number one rating drama in the AB demo for the current season. “This series is a real hit in Turkey, and buyers in CEE have taken note. We expect to close further deals for Stiletto Vendetta in the region, even before NATPE in Budapest next month,” says Petra Larsson, Sales Manager for Central and Eastern Europe at Eccho Rights. “The Baltic countries in particular have been buying an increasing number of series from Turkey in the last year, showing there is still room for Turkish Drama to expand in new territories,” adds Handan Özkubat, Head of Eccho Rights’ Istanbul Office. Stiletto Vendetta follows the lives of four beautiful, successful women - best friends from school, but beneath the surface long term rivalries and resentments bubble. When a murder sends shockwaves through their wealthy community, the criminal investigation unveils a world of betrayal, back-stabbing and secret affairs that have driven these well-to-do women apart - and over the edge.
