Modern Family temporarily banned in Turkey
Turkey’s Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTUK) has imposed a temporary broadcast ban on the US sitcom, Modern Family, which airs on Qatari TV network beIN Series, HaberTurk reported on Friday.
RTUK banned the broadcasting of the TV series for a two show duration and charged the channel with a fine for "using profane language, allowing coverage of a child born out of wedlock and contradicting with national and sentimental values". According Ahvalnews, the teenagers in the TV series want to have children out of wedlock, and their parents encourage them to do so, also RTUK detected profane language in it, HaberTürk said. RELATED
