Endemol Shine Group announced today that it has sold the rights for a joint Serbo-Croatian adaptation of hit crime drama The Bridge. The 10-episode series will be produced by Serbian prodco Adrenalin for RTL Croatia and RTS.

Lars Blomgren, Head of Scripted commented: “Central and Eastern Europe is a new creative hotbed with many exciting projects coming out of the region. I believe this will be another fascinating adaptation of the story, set in a region with a very rich political history that will play to the strength of the plot and genre.”

This will be the sixth adaptation of The Bridge which was originally created by Filmlance International and Nimbus Film for DR in Denmark and SVT in Sweden. The other versions were set between US/Mexico, UK/France, Germany/Austria, Russia/Estonia and Malaysia/Singapore.
