The Association of Cinema and TV Producers (APKiT) announced the winners of the Award of APKiT for 2018. This is the only professional award in Russia that is given based on the expert evaluation of producers and representatives of the industry.

House Arrest (produced by Comedy Club Production) received the biggest number of awards. It became the best comedy series, the jury noted the work of screenwriters, casting directors and film editors, and Pyotr Buslov got the prize for directing. Pavel Derevyanko received the award as the best lead actor, Albina Tikhanova and Timofey Tribuntsev were noted as best supporting actors. House Arrest premiered on online platform TNT PREMIER, but the first episode is available on YouTube channel of TNT, where it has already generated over 19 million views.

The military drama by Kirill Belevich titled Fortress Badaber (produced by GPM KIT, Studio Kit with the participation of Production Center Ivan) about an armed rebellion of Soviet and Afghan prisoners of war who were being held at the Badaber fortress near Peshawar, Pakistan, became the best TV Film (1-4 episodes). It also won the prize for the Best Original Soundtrack, Best Art Director (Zhanna Pakhomova) and Best Sound Mixing. The project aired on Perviy and was the most searched-for Russian series on Yandex in the first week of broadcast.

Two projects received awards for Best TV Miniseries (5-24 episodes) – Call DiCaprio (GoodStoryMedia) and Ordinary Woman (TV3, Lookfilm). The jury gave them an equal number of votes, which happened for the first time in the history of APKiT. Both series premiered in the fall of 2018.

The detective series The Closer (adaptation of the American series produced by Star Media) became the Best TV Series (over 24 episodes). The project premiered on Perviy in 2016, and the audience saw the second season in 2018.

The jury gave the special prize for ‘Realization of Producer’s Dream’ to the creators of the longest-running Russian series Trace – Alexander Levin, Yury Kamenetsky and Eugen Shchedrin. The project premiered in 2007 and was nominated for APKiT awards four times.

T-34 received the award as the Best Full Feature. Its competitors in the category were The Cop from Rublyovka. New Year's Mayhem (Politseyskiy s Rublyovki. Novogodniy bespredel) and I Am Losing Weight.

Other winners included: Best Animated Series – The Pooches (“Barboskiny”, Melnitsa and STB, Rossiya 1); Best Visual Effects - Better Than Us (Yellow, Black & White and Sputnik Vostok Production, START, kino.1tv.ru); Best Camerawork – Yellow Tiger Eye (Igor Tolstunov Production Company, Perviy); Best Costume Design – The Golden Horde (Maria Yuresko, produced by MARS Film, Amedia Production, Perviy); Best Make Up – Better Than Us (Maria Novikova, Alexey Ivchenko); Best Actress in Leading Role – Anna Mikhalkova (Ordinary Woman).
