NTV enters the international live broadcast distribution market with Miracle of Holy Fire rights
NTV, one of the largest Russian TV broadcasters holding the rights to over 20.000 hours of content, is expanding its distribution strategy by offering rights to live broadcasts of significant events and occasions.
A deal with Bulgarian National Television (BNT), that acquired rights to the live broadcast of the Miracle of Holy Fire ceremony from the Church of Holy Sepulture (Jerusalem) was one of the first for NTV. This year the ceremony will take place on April 27. It will be filmed and aired via multi-camera HD shooting (12 cameras). A 100 people team will be working on the live broadcast. “Many TV channels and OTT services can’t afford such a complex, expensive technology, that why NTV’s product is unique. Each media company that gets our high quality live feed can use it to create content uniquely suited for their region, with minimum cost and high ratings”, says Alexey Zemsky, NTV General Director. NTV has been broadcasting the ceremony for over 15 years, and it hasn’t yet failed to enthrall the viewers. The average audience share for the entire period was 17%. RELATED
