CBSSI sells All Access titles to Amedia TV
CBS Studios International and leading Russian pay TV and SVOD platform Amedia TV announced a new, exclusive, multi-year, multi-series content licensing agreement.
As part of the agreement, Amedia TV will license a variety of CBS All Access original programming, with Russian audiences gaining exclusive access to hits like The Twilight Zone, narrated by Jordan Peele, along with upcoming series Why Women Kill and Stephen King’s The Stand. Amedia TV will also showcase a wide selection of Showtime programming in Russia, bringing a roster of Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning series from the premium cable network to the territory. Current series Black Monday and Kidding are part of the agreement, along with a substantial volume of SHOWTIME programming from its epic library, including Californication, Dexter and House Of Lies. The agreement also covers upcoming Showtime series Penny Dreadful: City of Angels and limited series The Loudest Voice starring Russell Crowe. The Russian broadcaster will also have the exclusive rights to two series from CBS Television Studios’ 2018 slate, A Million Little Things, which is broadcast in the U.S. on the ABC Network, and The CW’s In the Dark, along with a selection of future CBS-produced series. “This agreement is an example of the scope and range of content CBS can deliver international broadcasters across multiple premium programming brands,” said Armando Nuñez, President and Chief Executive Officer, CBS Global Distribution Group. “Amedia TV has done a terrific job of broadcasting CBS and Showtime content in the past, and we look forward to them taking on an expanded slate of our programming with this new agreement.” RELATED
