VIS confirms Serbian remake for Sres. Papis #NATPEBudapest
Viacom International Studios confirmed yesterday that their hit format Dear Daddies (Sres. Papis) is getting a Serbian remake after it was optioned earlier this year. The show will be adapted for PRVA as the premiere is set for the spring 2020 season.
Dear Daddies is the second VIS format acquired by the Serbian channel after Los Graduados, for which they produced two seasons with over 300 episodes total. "Based on the success of our version of Graduates, we are confident that the Sres Papis format will take us even further in terms of ratings and affinity of the public. PRVA is a family-oriented channel and a format like Sres Papis is perfect to put all the generations in front of the television," said Programming Director Katarina Pavlovic. Sres Papis debuted in Argentina on Telefe in 2014 and maintained an average share of 32% throughout its broadcasts. The dramedy devised by the VIS development team led by Mercedes Reincke, VP of Development of VIS Americas, continues to add more sales around the world. The original version was acquired in more than 15 countries. The format has been licensed in Chile, Mexico, Peru, Slovakia, Ukraine and the Middle East, and recently optioned for the markets in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Germany, Russia and Romania.
