Polish pubcaster TVP has announced an open screenplay competition, consisting of two editions: one for series and one for films. OdNowa is open to people who are amateurs or professionals in screenwriting. The winning projects will be broadcast on TVP channels and will be distributed in cinemas.

The aim of the competition is to select the most interesting scenario projects that will meet the criteria of the competition. The public television expects the authors of "unconventional and original projects" on moral, sensational, historical, family, moral-comedy or docu reality topics”. According to the broadcaster, the initiative is directed at young creators in order to enrich the program offer with "new and non-standard proposals for films and series." Winners will receive financial prizes - from 10.000 to 30.000 PLN. They will also be able to cooperate in the development of the productions.

In the series edition, the creators can submit their work in the categories: daily afternoon and evening soap opera, primetime series, episodic evening sensational series, comedy drama series, half-hour comedy series - sitcom, docu reality series, primetime period series, weekend family series.

In the film edition the categories are: a feature film in an original way of describing the martial law period, a feature film in an original way of describing the 1989 transformation period, a Christmas feature film with clearly drawn comedy themes, an Easter feature film with clearly drawn comedy themes.
