New satellite service Neosat to launch in Bulgaria
A new satellite TV service called Neosat will launch in Bulgaria on June 1. It will be operated by Maxim Zayakov, one of the two founders of Bulsatcom, who left the company two years ago.
Neosat will use BulgariaSat-1, which was launched in 2017 by Bulgaria Sat, now fully controlled by Zayakov following its separation from Bulsatcom. Neosat is owned by Zayakov and George Skikos, a former technical director at Hellas Sat and now also a shareholder in BulgariaSat. Deltacom Electronics, another investor, will also produce reception equipment for the new platform, which will be a fully integrated operation. Neosat will launch with an offer of over 210 channels, 120 of which will be in HD, marketed in four packages. RELATED
