Only ten episodes into its first run, Ay Yapim’s series The Choice (Babil) has already been picked up by broadcasters covering more than 70 territories across all Latin American countries, the Middle East, and Europe. The premium drama features a sophisticated storyline and an all-star cast, and it is the first Turkish drama acquired by Turner Latin America, distributor Madd Entertainment reports.

The Choice was pre-sold to LATAM and MENA. More recently, Madd Entertainment has concluded sales in Georgia, Albania, Israel, North Iraq and Bangladesh.

While Turkish drama is known for its love triangles, impossible romances, and family intrigue, The Choice takes place in the world of high finance, where a struggling economics professor stages the nation’s largest financial fraud in order to save the life of his sick son. What makes this series stand out is how it combines a fast-moving, complex plot with the beating heart of Turkish drama.

The Choice features an all-star ensemble of top Turkish talent, including Halit Ergenç (1001 Nights, Magnificent Century, Wounded Love), Ozan Güven (Magnificent Century, Phi), Aslı Enver (Evermore), Birce Akalay (Price of Passion), Nur Fettahoğlu (Forbidden Love, Magnificent Century) and Mesut Akusta (Black Rose).
