Leading independent distributor All3Media International has signed another new deal in the CEE region for primetime drama All Creatures Great and Small, as Česká Televize becomes the latest broadcaster to acquire rights.

The seven-part Playground Entertainment production, which was commissioned by the UK’s Channel 5 and is co-produced with PBS Masterpiece. As recently announced, All Creatures Great and Small has already been acquired by Viasat World in a pan regional CEE deal for its Epic Drama channel and by MTVA in Hungary.

Based on James Herriot’s bestselling novels, All Creatures Great and Small chronicles the adventures of a young country vet in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1930s. The drama features newcomer Nicholas Ralph in the lead role as James Herriot, alongside an all-star ensemble cast including Samuel West (Howards End), Callum Woodhouse (The Durrells), Anna Madeley (The Child in Time), Maimie McCoy (Van der Valk) and Academy Award winner Rachel Shenton (The Silent Child).
