Hovhannes Movisisyan has been appointed as the new Director General of Armenian TV, the EBU reports.

Hovhannes has worked as a journalist and producer for the last 10 years, championing independent, high-quality media. Most recently he served as the Executive Director of Armenian Television but he has worked, since the age of 16, right across the media industry.

Hovhannes has also worked as Head of the Public Relations and Information Center of the Prime Minister and founded the Armenian Unified Infocenter, the Orbeli Analytical Research Center and the Annual Awards ‘The Hero of our Time’.
