CJ ENM’s mega-hit music format I Can See Your Voice is all set to entertain Russian audiences in May, Fremantle announced today.
As CEETV reported first in April, Russian broadcaster Rossiya 1 has picked up the rights to the format and will launch the show this Friday, May 14. The Russian version of I Can See Your Voice is produced by the production company VMedia Studio with 8 episodes for this season. In the captivating new game, the player will try to figure out who are good singers or bad singers, without ever hearing a note. YouTube star Vladimir Markony hosts the show and the famous Russian celebrities will help the players to reveal real vocal talent and win 1 Million rubles. Following the partnership deal with South Korean media company CJ ENM and global distributor Fremantle, Fremantle secured a commission for the format from Russia’s leading broadcaster Rossiya 1. In 2021, CJ ENM and Fremantle successfully launched the British version of the format, produced by Thames and Naked for BBC One. In the UK, I Can See Your Voice is currently the hottest new show of the season, with 3.4M viewers for the 3rd episode - making it the most-watched TV program in the UK for the day. Following its success in the UK, this format promises a whole new take on the music game show genre as well as lots of music and play-along fun for the whole family in Russia. “We are so excited that audiences in Russia will finally get to watch I Can See Your Voice. It is a fun musical show, where elements of mystery, comedy and talent show are combined for the whole family to watch and enjoy together –we have no doubt that it will be a great success. We are thrilled that the show will be on the leading TV channel in the country, Russia-1,” said Anne Kirsipuu, format sales director CIS & Baltic State, Fremantle. Diane Min, format sales head at CJ ENM, said, “We are so delighted to see the Russian version of I Can See Your Voice on Rossiya 1. Following the successful debuts in Europe, including BBC One in the UK and M6 in France in 2021, we know exactly its Russian version will be one of the most special formats in Russia to great success.” RELATED
