Pro Plus announces that effective February 1, Branko Čakarmiš will assume the position of General Director of Pro Plus and after 26 years of superb leadership and contribution, Pavel Vrabec will be appointed Chairman of Slovenian Operations. In this role, he will contribute to the management team by providing counsel and challenge, ensure a smooth succession transition, assist with the implementation of critically important projects and provide senior counsel across CME.

Mr. Čakarmiš is stepping into this role during a period of sustained performance and excellent results at Pro Plus, and with the sole intention to secure Pro Plus’ long-term leadership team who will for the next 5-10 years continue to drive the transformation and future vision of Pro Plus.

Branko Čakarmiš is a pioneer in the Slovenian media business with 20+ years of experience in television broadcasting as the programming director of Slovenian broadcaster Pro Plus for the last 13 years. Mr. Čakarmiš has played a crucial role in the ongoing digital transformation of VOYO and other Pro Plus digital services as well as creating the program offering that has kept ProPlus the most watched and admired station in Slovenia. He became programming director at Pro Plus for the first time in 1995, shortly after graduating from the University Ljubljana in 1993. In April 2003, he departed Pro Plus to take positions at Nova TV, ASPN, and HBO before returning to Pro Plus in June 2007.
