Georgian holding Adjara Group has acquired Setanta Ukraine, expanding its rights to telecasts and streaming.

Adjara Group said that the agreement between the parties was successfully concluded after several months of negotiations. Setanta Sports also has the rights to sports content and licenses available for OTT-service, from the spring of 2022 together with the TV channels Setanta Ukraine will offer customers a new service - OTT-platform.

“Given that Setanta Ukraine has been operating nationwide since 2019 and has more than 2 million users, Setanta Sports sees TV channels as a good opportunity to achieve its ambitious goals, which at this stage include both company rebranding and new offers for users ... We will also offer more content in Ukrainian, including more than 3,000 sporting events,” said Giorgi Pruidze, CEO of Adjara Group / Setanta Sports.

Since February 2021, Setanta Sports has been broadcasting in 13 countries, and its OTT platform allows you to watch several sports broadcasts simultaneously.

In Ukraine, setantasports.com subscribers will have access to the English Premier League (APL), the German Bundesliga, the Scottish Premier League, the Belgian Super League, the English Championship, as well as the FA Cup and League, NBA and Euroleague matches. Setanta Ukraine also offers Formula 1 broadcasts; Women's and men's tennis tournaments, Nascar, UFC, golf and hockey sports competitions.
