EY and Deloitte also leave Russia
 08 Mar 2022
The two remaining companies from the Big Four accounting firms – Ernst & Young (EY) and Deloitte announced they are leaving Russia as well.

One of the world's largest audit firms, EY, said it refuses to serve Russian "government clients, state-owned enterprises or sanctioned firms and individuals around the world." EY also announced the start of a restructuring of the Russian division to separate it from its global network. "EY's Russian practice provides and will continue to provide services to all of its clients," the Russian division of the company said.

“The EY Global Organization will no longer serve any Russian government clients, state-owned enterprises or sanctioned firms and individuals around the world,” RIA Novosti quotes the statement. More than 4.700 employees work in the Russian branch of EY.

The international company Deloitte, which provides audit and consulting services, has announced the termination of all operations in Russia and Belarus. The company explained that it will remove these states from the global network, separating the offices in them into independent structures.

Representatives of the international network noted that such a decision would affect approximately 3.000 specialists from the two countries. Deloitte promised to "support all affected employees during this transition and do everything it can to help them through this extremely difficult time."
