Nova extends main newscast; CT24 beats Prima in the 15-54 demo
Due to the war in Ukraine, TV Nova has made changes to its primetime programming. Its main newscast Televizní noviny has been extended to one hour, so all subsequent programs start at 20.40. "This week and next week we are preparing a special broadcast Breakfast with Nova, which is extended by about 40 minutes. We are also extending the length of Polední Televizní noviny and we continue with live broadcasts during the day," announced TV Nova.
The news of the private Ukrainian station 1+1 appeared on Nova's website. "Journalists from media groups from all over Ukraine are involved in the content of this news. We are fully aware that people who managed to escape the war and are now in the Czech Republic need to have an overview of the situation at home in their mother tongue. We want to offer them this opportunity, which is why we are glad that we had the opportunity to negotiate with 1+1 and start putting this content on our website, where it is fully available to everyone," said Nova’s news director Kamil Houska. "We continue to work with other sister television teams within CME and monitor the situation at the borders to provide viewers with up-to-date and verified information. We have one team in Poland and one in Slovakia," added Houska. Meanwhile CT’s news channel CT24 managed to beat general entertainment net Prima in the week of Feb. 21-27. In the 15-54 demo, the channel had 10.41% share while Prima had 9.80% all-day share. RELATED
