CT to offer its newscast Udalosti also in Ukrainian
With easier access to current information, Czech Television wants to make it easier for refugees coming from Ukraine to find their way around the country. Therefore, starting on Saturday, March 12, the main newscast of CT Udalosti (Events) will also be launched in their native Ukrainian language. Events simultaneously translated into Ukrainian will be available on the HbbTV application and on the iVysilani website, at 19.00.
"Our goal is to provide incoming Ukrainians with daily access to relevant information not only about the war in Eastern Europe, but also about current events in the Czech Republic and in the world. Therefore, every day we will offer them a live translation of Udalosti, which have long been the most trusted main news program on the domestic television market," said CT’s head Petr Dvořák. The program entitled Udalosti - Zpravy Interpreted into Ukrainian will be presented by Czech Television for the first time on Saturday evening. It will always be possible to watch the live-broadcast news from 19h, using the red button function or on the special iVysilani page under the Live Broadcasting tab. Along with the first release, Czech Television will also launch the web address ceskatelevize.cz/ukrajinsky , where an archive of broadcast parts will be gradually created. The Czech Television's regional studios also offer a news and information service for people coming from Ukraine to the Czech Republic. RELATED
