The general producer of RTVI Sergey Shnurov announced the temporary termination of his cooperation with the channel on March 10.

“I have decided to focus on the development of my own musical projects, therefore, in the current situation, I want to announce the temporary self-removal from the post of general producer of RTVI. In the context of ongoing events, my opinion may largely not coincide with the editorial policy of RTVI. I do not want to influence the image and information policy of RTVI in any way, even indirectly, therefore I decided to temporarily stop cooperating with the channel,” said Shnurov.

“The RTVI team is grateful to Sergey Shnurov for his contribution to the development of the channel. However, in the current situation, we fully support his decision to temporarily remove himself from the position of the general producer of RTVI. Taking into account the cultural, religious, political peculiarities of the views of our international audience, we understand that the conflict between these views and the personal position of Sergey, expressed by him in his musical works, will be inevitable. We wish Sergey success in his endeavors,” said Olga Piven, CEO of RTVI.
