The Industrial Television Committee of Ukraine (ITC) has decided to suspend peoplemeters television measurement for the duration of the war with Russia.

"Maybe the contractors will be able to provide some services without payment, we are currently negotiating with them," ITC director Anna Dobryvechir told Detector Media. The peoplemeters measurement is done by Nielsen, whose contract has been extended until 2025.

Kateryna Edelstein, Head of the Eastern Europe Region Nielsen, told Detector Media that Nielsen had received a message from the ITC that due to hostilities in Ukraine, they were temporarily unable to fulfill their obligations under the contract. “Under the terms of our contract, Nielsen continues to collect and process daily data and works with ITC and the media industry it represents to determine the best course of action in this incredibly difficult situation, with an emphasis on the safety of our colleagues and customers."
