Antenna Studios, the content production and distribution arm of Antenna Group, the international entertainment and media organization, is establishing Greece as a key destination for exciting content production, co-production and licensing opportunities.

Building on the international success of ANT1 TV drama series, Wild Bees, Antenna Studios is expanding its distribution offering with two premium comedy miniseries, The Friend and Serres, both premiering on Antenna Group’s new streaming platform ANT1+ this Spring.

Antenna Studios will also be bringing to market new high end projects for international co-productions, including Paradise, an ambitious eight part crime miniseries which takes place on the jet-setting island of Mykonos, and The Other 300, a historical docu-series about an Ancient Greek army consisting only of male couples, considered to be the most fearsome fighting force of its time, co-produced with the critically acclaimed indies Anemon Productions and Epo Film.

CEO Michael Iskas, who joined Antenna Studios from award-winning entertainment studio, The Story Lab, which he founded in 2015, will be presenting this versatile new slate at MIPTV in April.

Michael Iskas was appointed CEO Antenna Studios in 2021 and oversees a highly experienced and creative production team, focussed on developing powerful local entertainment, fiction and factual concepts with international production values and appeal, leveraging Antenna Group’s networks, platforms and investments.

Antenna Studios is the number one producer and international distributor of Greek content, producing over 2500 hours of programming per year. With a long and successful track record of co-producing quality content with both local and international partners, Antenna Group is already an investor in Imagine Entertainment (Arrested Development, 24) and Vice Media and a partner and co-producer with Propagate (My Best Friend’s Fear).

International distribution is led by Head of Sales Caroline Hurmson who has more than a decade of international scripted series, drama and telenovelas sales, commissioning and production experience, with CBS Studios, RTL, TwoFour and Arrested Industries.
