Tkachenko: Bucha is "the result of a long marathon of hatred by Russian propagandists"
 04 Apr 2022
The tragedy in the town of Bucha is the result of a long marathon of hatred from Russian propagandists, the Ukrainian Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko commented n his Telegram channel. The minister wrote that not only the Russian army and Putin were to blame for the Bucha tragedy, but also the propagandists who had been inciting hostility to Ukrainians on television for many years.

Margarita Simonyan, Vladimir Solovyov, Olga Skabeeva, Popov, Tolstoy, Babayan, Kulikov, Mikheev, Krasovsky and others have been depopulating Ukrainians on TV for years. They told the heads of Russian society that there was a Nazi people living in Ukraine who needed to be denazified - that is, destroyed. "That is how they prepared the ground for the mass murder of Ukrainians," the minister wrote.

The Minister noted that by dehumanizing Ukrainians, the Russians also dehumanized themselves, so the Bucha tragedy is the political responsibility of those who elected and support this government.

"By dehumanizing Ukrainians, the Russians have dehumanized themselves. Therefore, the Bucha tragedy has the political responsibility of those who elected and support this government. Each of them is now branded as inhuman who called for cooperation with the criminal authorities. It is you who raised this monster, the modern devil and serve him. The world will not forgive you for the genocide of the Ukrainian people," Tkachenko added.

Finally, the minister called on all democracies to boycott everything connected with the terrorist country: to ban the broadcasting of all Russian propaganda channels, to stop oil and gas trade, and any cooperation with Russia, the money from which goes to killing Ukrainians. And also "finally close the sky" over Ukraine and investigate crimes in the international tribunal as soon as possible.

On April 2, Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar announced that the entire Kyiv region had been liberated from the Russian occupiers.

Mayor Oleksandr Markushin said that at least 200 civilians had died during the Russian occupation of Irpen, Kyiv Oblast. On April 1, he also reported that the Russian occupiers had shot women and girls in Irpen and were driving tanks over their bodies.

Also, Russian troops shot people right in the middle of the street. Most of the dead were found on Pushkinska and Lermontova streets. According to him, many civilians died as a result of shelling and mines.

The Adviser to the Head of the Security Service Oleksiy Arestovych said that among the already found victims of the Russian military in Bucha, Irpin and Hostomel. Many of them had their hands tied, visible traces of torture, and some people have been shot in the back of the head.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba called on the missions of the International Criminal Court and international organizations to come to Bucha and other cities and towns of Kyiv region to gather evidence of Russians committing war crimes and crimes against humanity.

European Council President Charles Michel said the EU would help Ukraine gather evidence of Russian war crimes near Kyiv.
