Telewizja Polska is happy to announce that the 2nd Heart of Europe International TV Festival is now open for submissions. The festival will be held on November 14-17 in Warsaw.

“The success of the first edition of the festival has shown that there is a need for closer cooperation between artists in our region,” said Marek Solon-Lipiński, deputy director of the TVP sales and international cooperation office, coordinating work related to the festival. “The aim of the project is to build a forum where public broadcasters, authors and producers from Central and Eastern Europe can learn about their works, establish contacts and business relations,” emphasized Solon-Lipiński.

This year’s festival welcomes entries from public broadcasters of Central and Eastern Europe including Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Georgia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria.

Submissions will compete in 6 categories:

– Feature film
– Feature series
– Documentary
– Entertainment
– Children and youth
– Digital

An international jury will be appointed for each category. The jury will evaluate all submissions and select 5 entries to be nominated for the prize. One winner and one honourable mention will be chosen from the shortlist in each category.

Competition submissions:
The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2022. The competition is open to programs produced, co-produced or commissioned by public broadcasters. To be considered eligible, the entry must have been first published / broadcast by the submitting organization after January 1, 2021 or must be scheduled for publication or broadcast before December 31, 2022.

Submissions will be accepted from July 1, 2022. The final deadline is August 31, 2022.
