STB cuts collaborator from World of Dance
STB has agreed with the rights holder of World of Dance, NBCUniversal, on a major change in the format. As the press service of STB reports, the show had to be changed because of one of the judges who continued cooperation with Russia after the full scale invasion of Ukraine.
At the beginning of February, STB announced the start of filming of the large-scale show Dances. World of Dance. The premiere of the show was planned for March, but was delayed due to the beginning of Putin’s “special military operation” in Ukraine. "One of the judges of the project, Tetiana Denisova, a citizen of Ukraine, refused to publicly condemn Russian terror and statements in support of Ukraine. In connection with this, the TV channel STB decided in the spring to stop any further cooperation with Denisova and exclude her from appearing in the main dance premiere in the fall. In order to implement the decision, the channel re-edited the episodes filmed until February 24, cutting out all the fragments with the participation of the jury," the channel's press service said. In the updated format of Dances. World of Dance, the acts will be evaluated by the audience only. The premiere of the new format of the show is scheduled for fall. STB and Starlight Media earlier decided to ban the participation of citizens of the Russian Federation in future projects and series. The media group considers it necessary to categorically refuse to cooperate with citizens of Ukraine who continue to cooperate with the aggressor country. RELATED
