Perviy news anchor asks Simonyan to help with mobilization issue
 27 Sep 2022
The announcement of ‘partial mobilization’ in the Russian Federation has turned into a major problem even for Kremlin’s ‘loudspeakers’. One of the news anchors of Perviy (Channel One) contacted Margarita Simonyan, head of Russia Today, on Telegram with a request to resolve a mobilization issue.

Olga Kokorekina wrote the following in the public channel of Simonyan: “Margarita, hello! This is Olga Kokorekina. I understand that you are dealing with issues related to violations during the mobilization. This is why I am turning to you. My husband Ivan Maximov is 49 years old. He passed his service in a sports company (in the past he played hockey and now he is the head coach of the youth national team). The military commissariat sent him a call to the army. I found it in the mailbox on Friday after the time of the defined time of visits. That day three people came to our home. They were knocking hard on the door. Only the kids were home. They started asking thru the door where Ivan is. The little one got hysteric because of this. We get such visits every day now. During this time Ivan was busy with competitions in Krasnoyarsk. Today he arrived in Moscow. On the way home he visited his mom and on the phone she found out about the call to the army. She got a stroke. Excuse me for writing so chaotically and with lots of words. This is some kind of hell.”

Yesterday, independent Russian media reported that around 300.000 men have left the country following the announcement of partial mobilization.
