Star Media's Ryashin removed from Ukrainian Film Academy
 17 Oct 2022
The Ukrainian Film Academy announced that producer Vlad Ryashin is no longer its member.

"Vlad Ryashin left the Ukrainian Film Academy and is currently not a member of it. Ryashin left the Board and the Ukrainian Film Academy in March. We wrote on our resources that he left the Board, because we always report on changes in the Board," Tetiana Vlasova, PR director of the Ukrainian Film Academy, told Detector Media.

The film Heart of Parma based on the novel by Oleksiy Ivanov was released in Russia last month. The film was shot with the support of the Film Fund and Rossiya 1, its budget is almost $10 million. One of the producers of the film is Ukrainian-born Vlad Ryashin. His company Star Media is listed in the credits as one of the producers.

As of October 14, Ryashin was on the list of members of the Ukrainian Film Academy, but, apparently, he was removed from it after the publication of Detector Media. The Ukrainian Film Academy did not announce that Ryashin is no longer a member. As well as the fact that some film academics refused membership because they did not agree with Sergei Loznitsa's exclusion.

Vlad Ryashin is a Ukrainian producer, the founder of the film company Star Media - a producer, distributor and copyright owner of TV and film content. After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, the film company was quickly renamed UP Hub.
