Danilov: FreeDom will broadcast in English
 24 Oct 2022
On Friday, October 21, Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of the National Security Council, announced that the international TV channel FreeDom will broadcast in English, and later in other languages. He said this on the air of the Great Lviv program on the NTA channel. According to him, this issue was considered at a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"At the meeting, which took place today at 11 o'clock, the issue of switching not only to the Russian language of FreeDom, but also to English, French, Spanish, and Arabic languages was discussed. It was decided that we should start with English, the language of international communication, and the rest of the languages will be added. This very issue was discussed in the president's office at a meeting, " said Danilov.

FreeDom is already producing separate content in English for YouTube.

The Russian-language marathon FreeDom was organized at the beginning of March by the media groups Starlight Media, Inter, 1+1 and MGU on the basis of the multimedia platform of foreign broadcasting UATV.

The task of the "FreeDom" marathon is to give Russian-speaking viewers from all over the world the opportunity to learn the truth about the Ukrainian-Russian war. In particular, the appearance of such a channel was a response to the world's demand for a Russian-language TV channel that tells the truth about events in Ukraine. A significant part of the team that produces the marathon is based in Warsaw.

On May 7, the government allocated UAH 165 million from the reserve fund of the state budget to finance FreeDom.
