Ukrainian army temporarily restricts media access to liberated Kherson
 14 Nov 2022
Mass media's access to settlements that were de-occupied in November 2022 is temporarily restricted, Operational Command "South" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced.

"Please note that work in the settlements located in the combat zone is regulated by the order of the UAF Commander-in-Chief No. 73, dated 03.03.2022; non-compliance with this order may become grounds for a journalist's accreditation being revoked. These settlements will be accessible no sooner than the defense forces complete stabilization efforts," the military stressed.

Later it became known that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine revoked the accreditation of a number of journalists who arrived without permission in liberated Kherson before the completion of stabilization measures.

“Recently, some media representatives, ignoring existing prohibitions and warnings, without the agreement of the relevant commanders and public affairs services of military units, carried out professional activities in the city of Kherson even before the completion of stabilization measures,” the Ministry of Defense said.

Sky News and CNN International were among the first international media to report from the liberated city as early as November 12.
