The 2nd International TV Festival Heart of Europe started officially yesterday in Warsaw, Poland. The festival, established by TVP to promote TV content from Central and Eastern Europe, will take place from November 14-17, 2022. As part of the event, the jurors of the Heart of Europe Awards, composed of international TV industry experts, selected the nominees from a pool of submissions made by broadcasters representing 13 countries from the region.

For this year’s edition, the festival received submissions from Poland, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine that went on to compete in 5 categories: Feature film, Feature series, Documentary, Children and Youth, and Digital. The nominated projects were chosen from among 100 entries.

The winners will be chosen by an international jury consisting of producers, screenwriters and TV experts, representing the public broadcasters of the CEE region. The awards will be presented during the closing ceremony on 17 November, 2022 in Warsaw.
