France tv distribution picks up the feature doc Slava Ukraini
 15 Feb 2023
France tv distribution announced yesterday that it will handle the international distribution of Slava Ukraini, a film by Bernard-Henri Levy (The Will to See, Peshmerga, The Oat of Tobruk) and Marc Roussel.

This documentary will be launched at the EFM in Berlin, which will take place from February 16 to 22, 2023.

Produced by Margo Cinéma, the feature-length documentary originally titled Pourquoi l'Ukraine (Why Ukraine), documents the first months of the Ukrainian ordeal and was recently broadcast on the French-German channel Arte.

One year after the beginning of the war in Ukraine, philosopher Bernard-Henri Levy takes us to the heart of the conflict through this war diary made during the second half of 2022. From Kharkiv, in the Donbas, to Kherson, in the aftermath of the city's liberation, this documentary bears witness to the ravages of war through the testimonies of soldiers, chronicles of the front and portraits of civilians, and shares with us the struggle of the Ukrainian people.

The film will be distributed in France by ARP Sélection and will be in theaters on February 22, 2023.

Julia Schulte, SVP International Sales at France tv distribution, and Renan Artukmaç, Deputy SVP International Sales at France tv distribution, comment: "Slava Ukraini goes on a journey through the attacked territories of Ukraine which gives a voice to the brave who do not give up to fight for their country, their freedom and democracy. For us it is an important statement of solidarity."
