Canal+ Group and M7 Group have decided to exercise their call option on the 30% remaining shares of SPI International and therefore to acquire full ownership of the company.

Effective immediately Berk Uziyel and Loni Farhi will step down from their roles in SPI International. Erwan Luherne and Jeroen Bergman have taken over their respective responsibilities and roles.

Luherne, Director of Business integration for Canal+ International, and Bergman, Board Member of M7 Group responsible for Content and Business Development, will keep working closely with Canal+ Group and M7 Group to continue to deliver content to audiences across the globe, while also driving innovation and strategic synergies within Canal+ Group.

Both Erwan and Jeroen have strong track records in the business so I have great confidence they will continue to bring great success to SPI,” said Hans Troelstra, CEO of M7 Group.

The stock exchange communiqué of Kino Polska TV stated that Canal+ intends to take steps to change the composition of the management board and supervisory board of Kino Polska TV and its subsidiary Stopklatka (Kino Polska TV is its sole owner). The president of Kino Polska since spring 2014 is Bogusław Kisielewski, the board also includes Levent Gultan (also since spring 2014), Berk Uziyel (since November 2019) and Katarzyna Woźnicka (since July 2020). Kisielewski (as president), Uziyel and Woźnicka are also on the management board of Stopklatka.

Digital SPI International, a company registered in Portugal through the Dutch company SPI International, holds 13.08 million shares in Kino Polska TV, representing 66% share capital and votes at the general meeting.
