Videoplugger adds CEE hit series to catalog
 03 May 2023
British independent distributor Videoplugger announced the addition of new CEE titles to its catalog.

Flesh was produced by Serbian pubcaster RTS. Flesh (Meso) is the first part of the trilogy Flesh Bones Skin. It is an intense, contemporary and engaging drama series that directly speaks about life during transitional times in a small town.

The leading characters in the series Flesh have their own way of coping with problems. Mirko is a run-of-the-mill retired football player whose career is coming to an end. He returns to his hometown Banja Luka to live with his demented mother, introverted brother and a girl who screams for attention and love.

Bones is a TV series about the Balkans, those who define our fate and the choices we do not have. This is the second part of the planned trilogy Flesh Bones Skin. It portrays the post-war Banja Luka, consumed with corruption on all levels.

Videoplugger holds all rights outside the former Yugoslavia territories.

The distributor has also started selling the critically acclaimed co-production The Last Socialist Artefact.

Two big-city chancers show up in a desolate town deep in the Balkan rust belt, promising to bring the good times back – so where’s the catch?
Oleg and Nikola, two masters of survival from Zagreb, are brought to a remote town in the Balkans when a mysterious client places an order for a specific type of turbine. To deliver the turbine which is no longer manufactured, they renovate the long-abandoned factory in a town sunk into despair. When the town takes on a new life, and the citizens regain their dignity and hope by working in the factory, the buyer disappears. After a series of unsuccessful attempts to find a new buyer, will Nikola and his new friends manage to sell the turbine as “the last socialist artefact” to a famous art gallery?
