Vibrant NATPE Budapest kicks off
Anyone who has been attending NATPE Budapest for the past several years is now witnessing a vibrant re-start to the event following the change of ownership and the arrival of Brunico Communications as the organizers of the market in Budapest.
The buzz around the market floor, the lively atmosphere in the rooms and corridors and the brand-new large conference hall have impressed the delegates, among which over 360+ buyers, who CEETV was able to talk to today. The event itself kicked off yesterday with the A+E screenings which enjoyed great interest from buyers in the large screening and conference room. It was followed by the opening keynote of TVBIZZ Group CEO & President Georgi R. Chakarov who outlined some of the biggest highlights of the past TV season in CEE, and pointed to rising trends like the growing number of adaptations of Turkish series in the region, the wave of classic gameshow revivals and the boom of Greek drama production which has the potential and quality to start conquering the international markets. Tuesday's program was opened by the Keynote presentation of TV2 Media Group CEO Pavel Stanchev who stressed on the importance of linear television in the region, and especially in Hungary where viewership levels have seen almost no change in recent years and TV keeps the highest share of the advertising pie. He also pointed out that TV2 has been leading the market in all demos, all day and primetime, for seven months and thanked his great programming team for this achievement. In the fall, TV2 will bring its biggest lineup ever with over a dozen major entertainment productions, including the debuting shows Password, Top Model, Married at First Sight and I Can See Your Voice, etc. Next up in the program was the presentation of the Organization of Ukrainian Producers which showcased three brand new projects currently in development with partners from the UK, Estonia and Germany which are currently also looking for co-production partners. Those are Arts in War, Yuryk and a new docu series about arts in partnership with Ringside Studios. RELATED
