PITCH&PLAY SERIES+ wraps up its 2023 edition today with two new titles from Ukraine.

Water Police became the first series in Ukraine to shoot a full season in wartime which was recently aired on STB. SPACE Production also presented the show at NATPE Budapest.

I Am Hope was the first war drama miniseries commissioned by the 2+2 channel, part of 1+1 Media, telling the stories of the emergency paramedics in Kharkiv who rescued civilians and military personnel in the first months of the war when the city was nearly besieged by the Russian invaders.

The series tells the story about the special unit that investigates crimes committed around and in the water. Besides great action and storylines that keep viewers on the edge of their seats, the series provides beautiful views over rivers and lakes. The Water Police unit was created inside an actual pontoon wharf, which is a combination of a ship's cabin and an ultra modern office, making the site extremely atmospheric. The series was initially produced for pre-PT, but it is achieving high ratings in PT as well.

The first war drama series commissioned by the Ukrainian TV channel 2+2 which was filmed during the full-scale war in Ukraine. The lead characters are the emergency paramedics in Kharkiv, who from February to March 2022 rescued the civilians and military personnel of their city under continuous shelling and bombing.

The young paramedic Nadiya (Hope), despite the real danger and the persuasion of her beloved to leave for a safer place, decides to stay in the besieged Kharkiv. She doesn’t realize what awaits her in the coming weeks - sleepless nights, painful losses
