TV Markiza announces that as of September 1, 2023, Peter Gazik will assume the position of CEO and executive director, succeeding Mr. Matthias Settele, who after 10 years as CEO has decided to pursue other professional opportunities. Mr. Settele will remain with TV Markiza as an executive director until October 31 in order to ensure management continuity and a smooth transfer of responsibilities. Following his departure from TV Markiza, Mr. Settele will continue to be a member of the CME Editorial Board.

A native of Slovakia, Mr. Gazik has several years of C-level experience and most recently served as CEO of telecommunications operator Yettel Hungary since January 2021. Before that, he led telecommunications operator O2 Slovakia as its CEO for six years. Mr. Gazik will leverage the skills he has acquired in B2C, leadership and digital transformation to further develop TV Markiza’s content and distribution strategies while continuing to provide viewers with the highest quality of media and entertainment content they have come to expect.

Peter, who we welcome back to TV Markiza where he started as a foreign correspondent in 2004 has demonstrated and proven his leadership skills and abilities to adapt and learn at every phase of his career. He leaves the post of CEO with TV Markiza in a strong position,” continued Mr. Svalek.
