Liga Endesa returns to Sport Klub after 13 years
 19 Jul 2023
United Media, the leading media company in Southeast Europe, and the Association of Basketball Clubs of Spain (ACB) have signed a multi-year contract on exclusive rights to broadcast matches of the Liga Endesa – the strongest Spanish basketball league on Sport Klub channels in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia.

After a 13-year break, Sport Klub spectators will once again have the opportunity to watch nine Liga Endesa matches live every weekend, along with the complete playoffs, Super Cup, and King’s Cup.

The Liga Endesa stands as the strongest national basketball championship in Europe. It features four teams competing in the Euroleague (Real Madrid, Barcelona, Baskonia and Valencia) and two teams in the Eurocup (Juventud and Gran Canaria).

“We are thrilled to have brought back the strongest national basketball competition in Europe to Sportklub, thereby expanding our already impressive basketball offerings that include the Euroleague, Eurocup, various national championships, as well as FIBA World and European Championships. We will give the Liga Endesa the recognition it deserves, as it will be one of our standout attractions every weekend,” expressed Nemanja Simeunovic, director of Sport Klub.

Jose Miguel Calleja, the executive director of ACB, remarked: “Partnering with Sport Klub aligns with our ambition to secure exclusive placement for our content and ensure it receives the recognition it deserves. Sport Klub is renowned for having the best basketball coverage, and we believe ACB should be a part of it. The region covered by Sportklub is known for its exceptional basketball players and the immense significance placed on basketball, including following the best players and matches. Therefore, we are confident that the audience will thoroughly enjoy the intense battle for the championship title.”

Throughout the 36-week season, viewers in the region will have the opportunity to support their local heroes playing for Spanish teams. This includes Hezonja and Musa in Real, Kalinic in Barcelona, Marinkovic in Baskonia, Kljajic, Stevic, and Duscak in Gran Canaria, Tomic in Huventud, Miletic and Prkacin in Girona, Radoncic, Jovic, and Simanic in Zaragoza, Todorovic in Granada, Ristic in Tenerife, Bender in Obradoiro, Lukovic, Nenadic, and Tanaskovic in Breogan, Radicevic and Sulejmanovic in Bilbao, Klavzar and Radovic in Murcia, and Djedovic in Unicaja.
