On the morning of March 16, at 09.50, the absence of signal on the frequencies of the FreeDom and Dim TV channels on the Hot Bird 13G satellite was observed. The attackers replaced the FreeDom broadcast with other content. The attack also disrupted broadcasting of all channels of the package, which includes Ukrainian foreign-language TV channels.

"At 10.28 a channel with the logo Za Zhizn! was recorded broadcasting on the site of the FreeDom TV channel, while there was no broadcast of the Dim channel. On other satellites, in the networks of cable, IPTV and OTT operators that broadcast FreeDom and Dim, the broadcast continued without changes, except for those that receive a signal for broadcasting via Hot Bird 13G," the Ukrainian broadcasters reported.

In 20 minutes, the broadcasting of TV channels on the Hot Bird 13G satellite was restored.
