Inter Media Group has denied the reports claiming that the Inter TV satellite signal was hacked to stream the Moscow parade on May 9. The media group said it was "outraged by some media outlets spreading unverified information."

"This is not true. We ask our colleagues to only use verified information," the message reads.

The media group notes that it received reports from the satellite operator SES ASTRA AB that broadcasting on the ASTRA-4A satellite was affected by a powerful external radio signal on May 9.

This resulted in the TV channels Inter, K1, Mega, NTN, Pixel TV and Enter-Film experiencing a 17-second interruption in streaming from 11:09:48 to 11:10:05.

No effect was observed after that. No changes in the content of these channels were recorded, the media group said.

It also added that all ASTRA-4A spacecraft equipment and SES ground infrastructure were operational during these incidents and currently work as usual.

On May 9, Russian hackers targeted the StarLight Media channels, Suspilne, Dim, and Suspilne, jamming the signal and trying to replace the content with the stream of the Moscow parade. An attack on Inter was also reported. The Latvian Internet and TV provider Baltcom was targeted as well.
