Montenegro may return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2025 after RTCG revealed details of a show called Montesong 2024. Song submissions for the project are open until October 1.

The expectation is that the winner of Montesong will be the representative for Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2025. RTCG has not confirmed that information officially yet.

Entries must have at least 51% of lyrics in one of the official languages of Montenegro. A maximum of 16 songs will be selected for the event. All submissions will be scored by a panel from the broadcaster. They reserve the right to choose an internal entry if the songs do not score high enough.

Montenegro has only competed once this decade when Vladana finished 17th in the semi-final in 2022 with Breathe.
