A total of eight projects have been shortlisted for this year's Pitch Forum, which will take place in Budapest on October 8. The creators of the selected projects will have the chance to present their scripted series ideas to an international jury of renowned television professionals, Paprika Studios informs.

Paprika Studios and RTL Hungary launched Hypewriter in 2018 as the first international TV series pitch forum in Budapest. Since the first edition, more than 1000 concepts have been submitted from all over the world.

One of the requirements this year was that the entries should reflect the trends of commercial television in Central and Eastern Europe - and accordingly, the entries included genres such as drama, thriller, comedy, romantic drama, mocumentary and black comedy.

The finalists of Hypewriter 2024 are Ivan Knezevic (Serbia), Anastasia Hoppanova (Slovakia), Lina Michl (Croatia) and Ádám Ábrahám, Dávid Csicskár, Gergely Kofrán, Gábor Kertai and István Nyíri Kovács, Alexandra Vass and Nikolasz Vass (Hungary).
